Remote Access
Many locations do not have access into
remote IP or serial network elements.
When a DSL circuit, remote network
element, remote Digital Loop Carrier
System require adjustments, the only
recourse can be to drive out to the
remote location and physically access
the serial console port.
Many times modems are connected to
individual network elements allowing
one to dial into the network element and
make adjustments.
Locations can have one, two and many
times five and more modems connected
to individual network elements.
