There are two methods to access
remote network elements through
the HS-9000
Analog Dial-up
Allows a connection through a
remote SA-8000 into serial or IP
based network elements.
Ethernet Connection
When there is an IP/Ethernet
connection between the various
locations, the HS-9000 can
connect directly to the network
element or can be routed through
an SA-8000 or an HS-9000.
Direct Connection to Network
Element
Many times, there are only a
couple of network elements at a
remote location. In cases like
this, it is more economical to
connect directly to that network
element, through an Ethernet
connection or through a dial-up
connection.
