- Polling Features
- Specific Polling scripts are written to connect to a Network Element, log on, query for specific information (alarm, status…) and display that information in a browser window.
- Specific Polling scripts are written to poll multiple Network Elements for current alarm status, if there were changes (new alarms, cleared alarms) a TL1 message is sent to a predefined IP Address.
- Reporting Features
- Reports can be configured to report all alarms over that past 24 hours, alarms identified over the past week, quarter or year.
- Reports are sent to selected email addresses in a text or html format.
- Network Element GUI Development
- GUI’s are developed to provide a browser interface to Network Element that provide a simple method to perform desired functions without having to know the specific command line commands.
- Knowledge Management
- When a service person is working at three in the morning at a remote site or from home, the Knowledge Management section is a location where vender’s user guides, manuals, processes and procedures can be located.
- System Logs
- Systems logs allow visibility to activities that were processed through the HS-9000. This includes who logged on, at what time, the Network Element accessed and what was done to that NE.
- IP Firewall
- The HS can be configured to provide secure access through a Firewall, this is a function that is desired when the HS-9000 is accessed on an open network, the Corporate Network, the Internet…
- IP Router
- In order to manage Network Element located on multiple IP sub-nets, the HS-9000 can route requests through these diverse subnets.
- FTP Server
- The HS-9000 can provide a single location for the field to store different Network Element images to provide access for NE upgrades.
